U.S. House - District 19 - GOP Special Primary

With all of Broward County's precincts accounted for and all but 13 precincts counted in Palm Beach County, the three-way Republican race remained a nail-biter Tuesday night — and too close to call a winner among Joe Budd, Edward Lynch and Curt Price.
Palm Beach County Elections Supervisor Susan Bucher said ballots will be separated and a recount will begin Friday.

Lynch, Edward 41% of the vote
Budd, Joe 40% of the vote

Each of the Republican candidates was a relative newcomer to politics; none has served before in any elected office.
Lynch, a contractor, was the unsuccessful Republican candidate against Wexler in 2008, and almost immediately after that loss announced his plans to run again in 2010.

Budd, a financial planner, had the most establishment support, with endorsements from the influential Voters Coalition and the Palm Beach Post.
